The Company

Home inspections sound so simple and perhaps it once was. Once upon a time, Uncle Bob, whom you trusted, would take a quick look to give you his blessing. Today, however, homes are more complex, high tech and expensive. The need for a well trained and informed inspector is important to protect your interest. One thing that has not changed however is trust. One must be able to rely on the opinion of the inspector to determine the future of the investment. Home Check Up Inspections, founded in 1992, has performed over four thousand inspections in the greater Houston metro-plex area. Our goal is to provide an informed opinion that our customers can rely upon to make an intelligent decision concerning the property of interest and continue to be a reliable source of information for maintenance and care of their property.

Home Check Up Inspections provides licensed inspectors with ongoing technical training on the latest developments in home construction and maintenance.

The Inspector

Bill White, owner and founder of Home Check Up Inspections, is a licensed Professional Real Estate Inspector, #3311 since 1992. Bill's background consist of several fields pertaining to residential and commercial real estate such as new construction, real estate brokerage, real estate investments, general contracting, remodeling, mechanical contracting and inspector training. His career started in 1974, after graduating from high school, Bill was accepted into the Houston Fire Fighters Academy. After graduating from the Academy, Bill served three years as a Houston Firefighter. As a firefighter he received extensive training in fire safety and fire prevention in residential and commercial real estate. In 1977 Bill started a plumbing business and later acquired his master plumber license from the Texas State Plumbing Board. The plumbing company performed repair, new construction and remodeling on residential and commercial property. In 1982 Bill acquired his real estate broker license and for ten years he worked full time as a real estate agent specializing in sales, marketing, management and leasing of residential real estate. During this time He started investing in distressed real estate for resale and rental, handling all the management of restoration and renovations. Bill has acted as general contractor on many new construction and remodeling projects. As a general contractor, Bill has managed land acquisition, site development, interim financing, and coordination of subcontractors and materials. In 1992 he acquired his real estate inspector license and started Home Check Up Inspections.

The Company offers a variety of services and diverse backgrounds to assist customers such as residential and commercial inspections of previously owned real estate, phase inspections of new construction from foundation to the final completion, construction management, real estate investment consulting and inspector training. As an inspector trainer Bill has trained many new real estate inspectors in the skills of the inspection industry.
